<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode (LED) driving device which can prevent the dimming of an LED caused by current leakage, and provide a display device equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: While a series circuit composed of a current control resistor 21, an LED 22 and a switching transistor 23 is connected between a power source line Vcc and a ground line GND, the switching transistor 23 is placed facing the LED 22 and on the side of the ground line GND.
