<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a fine-cell soft polyurethane foam having a density of≤0.3 g/cc and suitable as a component for a light-weight shoe sole by using carbon dioxide in an amount to give a polyurethane-forming mixture having a free rise density of 0.03-0.3 g/cc. <P>SOLUTION: The invention provides an isocyanate-reactive component containing (a) a polyol having a hydroxy functional value of≥1.7 and a molecular weight of 1,000-12,000 Da, (b) a catalyst, (c) a surfactant, (d) a crosslinking agent as an arbitrary component, (e) water as an arbitrary component and (f) dissolved carbon dioxide provided that (1) the dissolved carbon dioxide is present in an amount sufficient for forming a foam density of an isocyanate reactive component of 0.1-0.8 g/cc and (2) the total amount of the dissolved carbon dioxide and the carbon dioxide formed by the reaction of water with isocyanate gives a free rise density of 0.03-0.3 g/cc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
