<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an uniform transfer state for the whole transfer area of an adhesive layer and obtain the uniform adhesive force after transferring the adhesive layer. <P>SOLUTION: After recording a color image, character information, etc. on an image receiving layer of an intermediate transfer ribbon using a line-typed thermal head, the image receiving layer is thermally transferred onto the recording page of passbooks. At that time, the adhesive layer is transferred from a color ink ribbon onto the image receiving layer of the intermediate transfer ribbon to improve the adhesive force between the image receiving layer and the intermediate transfer ribbon.
