<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel implant deploymemt apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a restraining member 102. The restraining member maintains a collapsed implant 106 in a collapsed state, so that the implant can be delivered through a small passageway to a desired site of a mammalian body. As the implant 106 is fed to the desired position, the restraining member 102 is released, so that the implant is released to a developed state. In a preferred embodiment, the restraining member comprises a sheet member that surrounds at least a portion of the collapsed implant.
