PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning circuit with simple structure capable of performing thinning-out scanning by varying a signal to be provided, and also to provide a solid-state imaging apparatus having the scanning circuit. SOLUTION: The scanning circuit has an AND gate in which transfer stages of each stage are constituted by connecting two switches with two inverters in series and to which output of each transfer stage is input. Then, when continuous scanning operations are performed, amplitude of start pulses is made small and when thinning-out scanning operations are performed, the amplitude of start pulses is made large.
