PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost and compact imaging lens which has excellent optical performance as a solid-state imaging element with high resolution. SOLUTION: The imaging lens for forming an image on the solid-state imaging device comprises a first negative meniscus lens L1 which is convex to an object side, an aperture stop ST, and a second positive meniscus lens L2 which is convex to an image plane side in order from the object side, and satisfies condition expression of -0.27<f2/f1<-0.13 (where f1 is the focal length of the first lens L and f2 is the focal length of the second lens L2).
