PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of performing correct display even when image data is inputted before applying power supply voltage when circuit components are not short-circuited and whose cost is inexpensive. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a liquid crystal panel 11 having a plurality of line electrodes 18 and a plurality of column electrodes 17, a gate driver 16 which drives each line electrode 18, a source driver 15 which drives each column electrode 17, an integrated circuit 12 for control to which at least the image data is inputted and which outputs various signals to the gate driver 16 and the source driver 15 and a circuit 13 for power supply which outputs voltage for drive and a prevention means 21 for preventing the impression of reverse voltage which goes against the voltage for drive is connected in series to a connection line 20 for connecting the circuit 13 for power supply with the integrated circuit 12 for control.
