PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate trouble caused by the unevenness of temperature such as excessive temperature rise by correcting the unevenness of temperature distribution which can not be corrected too perfectly even when using a plurality of heating means. SOLUTION: The temperature distribution of the heating member is detected. When the unevenness is detected, recovery control is performed even when image formation is not finished.
