PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic yarn winder formed compact and capable of preventing a package from being damaged by the fall of a shield plate while a yarn is wound up. SOLUTION: In this automatic yarn winder, two spindles holding a yarn winding bobbin are projectedly installed on a turret rotatably installed on a frame. A shield mechanism comprising a moving means and the shield plate installed on the moving means is disposed between these two spindles.
