PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a path of a pipe for returning oil separated from blow-by gas into the inside of an engine and achieve use a return pipe in common with a level gage for detecting oil. SOLUTION: In this engine having a blow-by gas treatment device 1, the return pipe 2 for separated oil included in blow-by gas separated and treated by the blow-by gas treatment device 1 is arranged so as to introduce it into oil stored in an oil pan 3 or oil in an oil storage part 4 provided in the halfway section up to the oil pan 3 through the inside of the engine. The return pipe 2 is branched into two parts so as to insert the level gage 7 for detecting oil and is arranged as an oil detection pipe 2a at an external part position from a hole seat 6 provided in a cylinder block 5.
