A combination of sound and television broadcast antennae for use in the ultra-short wave band comprises an array of dipole frame antennae 3 for the sound broadcast, and slot antennµ 2 for the television broadcast which also serves as a pole 1 for supporting the dipole frame antennae 3. Successive dipole frames 3 are arranged at intervals of approximately one wavelength and alternate with slot antennae 2 along the length of the supporting pole 1. This halves the constructional height of the two systems as compared with normal coaxial superposition and it is stated that the mutual radiation coupling between the two systems of antennµ is very small. |
