PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oven of such a kind as an only one information input required to a user is a type or category of food to be cooked. SOLUTION: This oven is controlled to create a result of high quality by selecting only the category of the food on a front face panel thereof. The oven has two heat sources, one of which is in an operation state during the first period, the other is thereafter brought into an operation state, and a time required until reaching a specified temperature threshold is measured during a period therein. The value is dependent on a size and a type in such a degree that a remaining baking time can be determined highly precisely at a required baking temperature during the remaining baking time.
