OPERATION METHOD OF MEMBRANE SEPARATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the operation method of a membrane separation apparatus capable of avoiding clogging of a separation membrane even when raw water quality varies, and maintaining stable recovering ratio by using a first separation membrane apparatus and a second separation membrane apparatus separating washing drain of the first separation membrane apparatus into solid and liquid. SOLUTION: In this operation method of the membrane separation apparatus provided with a detecting means for raw water quality variation; a first separation membrane apparatus for membrane-filtration of raw water, a second separation membrane apparatus obtaining filtrate by membrane-filtration of the washing drain of the first separation membrane apparatus, and washing a separation membrane by a washing mechanism at every given filtration time, when changing the filtration time of the first separation membrane apparatus according to the raw water quality; the membrane filtration flow rate of the second separation membrane apparatus is changed by an amount substantially equal to the reciprocal of a ratio of the filtration times of before and after the change.
