PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional press type switch capable of stabilizing a rocking member and an operation member and of keeping its appearance proper. SOLUTION: This multidirectional press type switch 1 is provided with the operation member 10; the rocking member 20 rocking integrally with the rocking of the operating member 10 and installed so as to vertically move the operating member 10 alone; switches 71 and 72 installed on the undersurface side of the operating member 10 and the rocking member 20; and a case 30 for housing a base part 11 of the operating member 10 and the rocking member 20. A connecting member 40 for connecting the operating member 10 and the rocking member 20 to the case 30 is arranged. The connecting member 40 is fixed to the undersurface of the operating member 10 and to the undersurface of the rocking member 20 by a hinge plate made of synthetic resin which has flexibility and is formed into a shape, where respective mounting/fixing parts respectively fixed to the operating member 10, the rocking member 20 and the case 30 are connected together by an arm part.
