PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure consistency of feature data used for processing among a plurality of streams recorded with different systems. SOLUTION: An input stream is supplied to a recording system 1 encode-processing system 21 and a recording system 2 encode-processing system 22, encode-processing in accordance with the recording system is performed in respective systems. Also, the input stream is supplied also to a feature data signal processing system 23. In the feature data signal processing system 23, image feature data are detected by a prescribed image feature extracting processing, while the voice feature data are detected respectively by the prescribed voice feature extracting processing. These detected feature data are recorded in the prescribed recording layer of a recording medium 1 as common data of the stream encoded by the recording system 1 and the stream encoded by the recording system 2.
