PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily evaluate the ground improved state, by using a relation curve between shear wave speed V<SB>s</SB>and uniaxial compression strength q<SB>u</SB>, concerning a cement-based improved ground. SOLUTION: In this deducing method of an improved soil ground characteristic, a specimen having an equivalent specification to ground characteristic which is a measuring object is produced prior to actual execution of ground improvement, and an indoor test is performed to the specimen, and relation data between the shear wave speed and the strength are formulated, to thereby acquire a regression curve, and the ground strength after improvement at an original position is estimated, by applying a measurement result of the shear wave speed determined relative to the ground whose actual execution is under progression to the regression curve. In the indoor test, a dry density of the specimen is measured, and the relation data between the shear wave speed and the strength are classified relative to each dry density in a prescribed range. Then, the regression curve is determined based on each classified data. The strength after improvement of the ground is estimated, by applying the regression curve, in a section to which the dry density of the soil on the original position belongs by using the shear wave speed determined relative to the ground, whose actual execution is under progression.
