PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum plane type solar heat collecting device of high economical efficiency capable of maintaining high vacuum over a long years, by hermetically vacuum-sealing a casing and a window pane over several meters with metal. SOLUTION: In this vacuum plane type solar heat collecting device provided with a plane heat collecting plate 8 for receiving the heat of sun light, the container-like casing 3 for storing the heat collecting plate 8, and the window pane 2 provided in an upper part of the casing 3, the window pane 2 is formed into a shape having a convex part 12 bulged with respect to an outer part of the casing 3, a horizontal part 7 for supporting horizontally the window pane 2 onto a side wall of the casing 3, and a vertical part 4 formed in an end part in an outer part of the horizontal part 7 are provided in the side wall of the casing 3, a metal filler 6 is filled in a clearance between the vertical part 4 and the end face of the window pane 2, and a compression stress due to atmospheric pressure is applied onto the metal filler 6 to vacuum-seal the window pane 2 with respect to the casing 3.
