PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer that comprises an amino group-containing (meth)acrylate borate group unit in a polymer skeleton and is useful as a functional material in the field of medical treatment, medicine, agriculture, chemical, analysis, etc., and has a new sugar chain recognition function. SOLUTION: The borate group-containing (meth)acrylate polymer contains a borate group in the molecule and has 10<SP>3</SP>-10<SP>6</SP>number-average molecular weight, especially the borate group-containing (meth)acrylate polymer has 0.1-20% by mass of a boron content of the borate in the molecule and comprises 1-8 boron atoms per amino group.
