PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car washer capable of easily and reliably detecting any unexpected movement of a vehicle stopped at a car washing position. SOLUTION: The car washer has first and second vehicle detection means 61, 62 on at least two positions along the longitudinal direction of a car washer body 11, and has a traveling distance detection means 20 to detect the traveling distance of the car washer body 11. The first vehicle detection means 61 obtains the first detection distance A of the traveling distance detection means 20 while detecting front and rear ends of a vehicle, and the second vehicle detection means 62 obtains the second detection distance B of the traveling distance detection means 20 before detecting the front and rear ends of the vehicle, and a control means 50 is provided, which compares A with B, and determines that the vehicle is moved by the predetermined difference between A and B, or more.
