PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rising/movement assisting apparatus which enables a care receiver who cannot stand up by himself/herself to safely stand up without any anxiety, subsequently change direction and safely sit on a chair or a bed at a transfer site. SOLUTION: A post 3 is raised on a turn table 2 supported by a base plate 1, a lifting arm 5 is tiltably mounted on the upper part of the post via a rotary hinge 4, and a slide mechanism 6 which brings a holding part 5a disposed on this lifting arm 5 close to or away from the rotary hinge 4 is provided. This apparatus supports the sides and chest of the sitting care receiver by the holding part 5a, subsequently allows the care receiver to take a slouchy posture by moving the holding part to the rotary hinge 4 side, allows the care receiver supported by the holding part 5a to stand up on the turn table 2 by rotating the lifting arm 5 after fixing the holding part 5a to the transfer site, returns the lifting arm 5 to a falling-down posture after changing direction by rotating the turntable, and allows the care receiver to sit down at the transfer site.
