PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus which enables a static magnetic field homogeneity to be adjusted extremely easily without depending on the capability of an operator when such an adjustment is made at a factory or an installation site. SOLUTION: The MRI apparatus comprises a static magnetic field generation means which generates a static magnetic field at an imaging space where a subject is positioned and a correction means to correct the homogeneity of the static magnetic field. The correction means consists of a magnetic member to correct the homogeneity of the static magnetic field, a drive means to actuate a transfer of the location of the magnetic member, a drive control means to control the drive means, and a correction control means to correct the homogeneity by controlling the drive control means.
