PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lawn mower which can reduce grass scraps accumulated in the middle of a course to the back portion of a receiving portion and can reduce operation frequency for operating a push plate to improve the workability of lawn-mowing works. SOLUTION: A lawn-mowing portion for mowing grass is disposed in the main body 1 of the lawn mower. A grass-collecting basket 4 whose inside serving as a receiving portion 3 for receiving grass scraps mowed with the lawn-mowing portion 2 is detachably attached to the main body 1 of the lawn mower 1 so that an inlet 3a of the receiving portion 3 is directed to the lawn-mowing portion 2. The push plate 5 having a push face 6 for pushing grass scraps accumulated without arriving the back portion of the receiving portion 3 to the back portion of the receiving portion 3 is turnably provided at a place near to the inlet 3a of the receiving portion 3 through an energizing portion 7. The push plate 5 can be turned against the energization of the energizing portion 7 to move the push face 6 to the receiving portion 3. When the push plate 5 is not operated, the push face 6 of the push plate 5 placed at a prescribed position by the energization of the energizing portion 7 forms a grass scrap-guiding wall face 8 ranged from a place near to the lawn-mowing position A of the lawn-mowing portion 2 to the inlet 3a of the receiving portion 3.
