METHOD AND APPARATUS OF SOFTWARE UPGRADE IN DIGITAL RECEIVER

A method and an apparatus for upgrading software of a digital receiver are provided to grasp a software upgrading process at a glance by displaying the software upgrading process on a screen. It is checked whether a version of software to be upgraded is the newest(S50). If the version of the software is the newest, it is checked whether upgrading of the software is performed according to selection of a user(S60). While upgrading the software is performed, a user interface for displaying software downloading and storing processes is provided on a screen. When upgrading the software is completed, a system is restarted(S130) and new software is installed according to selection of the user(S140).
