<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide artificial soil having lightweight, capable of permanently keeping on maintaining a three-layer structure comprising a vapor phase, a liquid phase and a solid phase, and usable for a rooftop and a wall of a building or the ground. <P>SOLUTION: The artificial soil is composed of pumice stone as a porous matter, bark chips, leaf mold, and mineral soil having water retention and fertilizer retaining properties and a specific gravity of ≤0.5. It is preferable that the mineral soil in the artificial soil is vermiculite, the volume of pumice stone, bark chips and leaf mold is 60%-90% and the rest is vermiculite, and the volume ratio of vermiculite/bark chips is 0.6-1.2 and the volume ratio of vermiculite/pumice stone is 0.3-1.0. The artificial soil is added with mixed fertilizer and has a specific gravity of 1.0 or below in a wet condition and a specific gravity of 0.38-0.25 when shipping. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
