<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which has the activity higher than usual and by which a nitrogen compound-containing gas can be burned at low temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for cleaning the nitrogen compound-containing gas is characterized in that a noble metal and gallium are deposited as catalytic metals on a carrier consisting of a metal oxide. It is preferable that the amount of gallium to be deposited is 0.5-5 wt% of the weight of the carrier. When this catalyst is used, since this catalyst can be activated at lower temperature, the nitrogen compound-containing gas can be burned at a low cost while taking the influence on the environment into consideration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
