PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key acquisition apparatus requiring no recognition by users by using a key exchange protocol wherein devices for making communication by utilizing a communication path wherein eavesdrop and falsification may take place securely share a session key and build up an encrypted session. SOLUTION: The key acquisition apparatus 100 includes: a communication section 101 for performing encryption communication with a key providing apparatus; a key storage section 103 for storing a session key associated with the encryption communication; a recognition data reception section 105 for receiving verification data of the session key transmitted from the key providing apparatus; and a data verification section 107 for verifying whether or not the session key stored in the key storage section 103 is coincident with a session key stored in the key providing apparatus on the basis of the verification data of the session key.
