PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle television receiver for smoothly displaying superior video image at all times, even if the received electric field strength is changed. SOLUTION: The television receiver 10 includes a voltage variable LPF 12 for filtering a video signal to provide the filtered signal to a monitor section; an electric field strength detection section 14d for detecting the reception electric field strength of a television broadcast signal; and an electric field strength variational difference detection section 14a that obtains differences from the electric field strength of the video signals by each predetermined time as electric field strength variation differences, and the television receiver 10 adjusts the filter characteristics of the voltage variable LPF, in response to the reception electric field strength and the electric field strength variational difference.
