PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable resin composition for producing a column spacer that can effectively suppress the occurrence of an irregular color caused by gravity unbalance. SOLUTION: The curable resin composition for producing a column spacer contains an alkali soluble (meth)acrylic copolymer having an epoxy group at the side chain, a polymerizable compound having an ethylenic unsaturated bond, and a photo-reaction initiator, wherein the alkali soluble (meth)acrylic copolymer having an epoxy group at the side chain is a copolymer comprised of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride, a compound represented by general formula (1), and an unsaturated compound other than the unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride, and an unsaturated compound except the compound represented by general formula (1), and an elastic modulus of the cured product is 0.2-1.0 GPa in the case of 15% compression at 25°C.
