PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new treatment method for reducing the side effects of camptothecin drugs such as irinotecan (CPT-1), topotecan and other camptothecin analogues, composition and kit. SOLUTION: This composition has the ability to reduce the excretion of active camptothecin species by bile and is used for reducing the toxicity of camptothecin drugs by giving it animals. The preparation increasing the combined enzyme activity or glucuronosyl transferase activity, and agent that decrease biliary transport protein activity, such as cyclosporine A, the resultant effects of which are to decrease the significant side effects previously associated with treatment using theses drugs are disclosed.
