PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movable guide for a transmission device which requires no draft cutting process after aluminum die-casting process, achieves reduction in manufacturing cost and in weight of a base frame, materializes a stable mounting of a shoe and a smooth shaft supporting function of a guide to a timing chain, and secures long-term service life of a die. SOLUTION: A movable guide 100 for a transmission device supports on a shoe supporting surface 121 a resin made shoe 110 travelling a timing chain C in slide contact therewith along a guide longitudinal direction. In addition, a base frame 120 having an I-shaped frame cross section freely rockably mounted in an engine block wall through the medium of a pivot hole 122 for mounting is opened to both sides of a frame by a parting line PL having no draft spaced along one side edge 121a of the shoe supporting surface 121 at the aluminum die-casting process.
