PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit capable of securing durability of a harness and securing quality of signals transmitted by the harness so that the length of the harness is shortened. SOLUTION: In a camera system 10 having an imaging section 12, a movable section 11 supporting the imaging section 12, and a base section 13 rotatably supporting the imaging section 12 and movable section 11, a conducting wire for connecting the imaging section 12 and base section 13 is inserted into a hollow section where a rotary shaft section 313 of the base section 13 is hollow. The conducting wire is fixed on both ends of the rotary shaft section 313 so as not to generate distortion caused by its rotation. Thus, the length of the conducting wire can be shortened in this structure, unnecessary radiation or the like caused by such length of the conducting wire can be reduced, and durability of the conducting wire can be maintained.
