PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean an ink roller or the like of a waterless offset press without using VOC. SOLUTION: A water-based cleaning liquid 14 capable of dissolving water-soluble ink for waterless offset printing is purified as it is circulated in a circulation system, and portions 10 to which the water-soluble ink sticks is cleaned repeatedly by the purified water-based cleaning liquid. The VOC is scarcely brought about from liquid waste 15 of the cleaning liquid containing the ink and the waste can be reclaimed easily only by filtering it to remove a contaminant wherein the ink and others are suspended. It is possible, accordingly, to increase a circulation speed of the cleaning liquid and to enhance cleaning efficiency. Since the VOC, an oily content and the like are not contained in the liquid waste of the cleaning liquid, any structure for removing the VOC, the oily content and the like is dispensed with, which is combined with no use of dampening water. Thereby, the constitution of cleaning equipment is simplified and a so-called close system which does not let out the cleaning liquid waste can be easily constructed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
