<p>A device for detecting a cut point of a moving picture comprises a frame feature value extracting section (21), a predicting section (22), a prediction error calculating section (23), and a cut point judging section (24). The predicting section (22) calculates a predicted value of the feature value of each of frames including the current from being currently judged after the current frame by using the feature values of a predetermined number of frames before the current frame extracted by the frame feature value extracting section (21). The predicted error calculating section (23) compares the feature value of each of the frames after the current frame with the predicted value of the feature value of the corresponding frame calculated by the predicting section (22) after the current frame and calculates the prediction error between the feature value and the predicted value. A cut point judging section (24) judges whether or not each calculated prediction error meets a predetermined judgment criterion, judges the current frame to be a cut point if the prediction errors all meet the judgment criterion, and output the frame number.</p> |
