An air cleaner is provided to effectively remove the gaseous component or the minute dust through an upper unit and the dust at the bottom through a lower unit. An air cleaner(1) is installed at the interior of a house and purifies the air at the interior of the house. The appearance of the air cleaner is partitioned by thin type of housing(2). An upper front surface plate(3) with a rectangular shape is installed at the front of the housing and covers about a half of the upper front surface of the housing. A lower front surface plate(4) with a rectangular shape is installed at the front of the housing and covers about a half of the lower front surface of the housing. An upper discharge hole(6) is formed at the upper right side of the housing and a lower discharge hole(7) is formed at the lower left side of the housing.
