<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer an ink jet recording material which excels in its surface smoothness, glossiness and water resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recording material of this invention is to have on the supporting body a layercoated and dried with the dispersion containing water-soluble binder and pigment which is made of at least either one of amorphous silica and alumina silicate having particles with an average second particle size of 10 nm-300 nm pulverized and obtained using a pressure type homogenizer with the pressure of more than 250 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>and below 1,000 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>. The particles in the dispersion to be coated and dried on the supporting body are preferable to contain 70% or more of all numbers of particles within the range of ±50 nm of mean particle sizes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
