<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration wave motor exhibiting sufficient drive efficiency while suppressing generation of strange sound even when high speed rotation is carried out as the size is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: On the contact surface 15d of a moving element 15 coming into direct or indirect contact with the flange portion 18a of an output shaft 18, the radius r of outside diameter at a part where the position is regulated by the flange portion 18a and the radius R of outside diameter on the sliding surface 15a of the moving element 15 touching and sliding on the drive surface of an elastic body 12 satisfy a relationship r/R≥0.5. Consequently, relative inclination of the center of rotation of the moving element 15 and the output shaft 18 is suppressed. Consequently, sliding between the drive surface of the elastic body 12 and the sliding surface 15a of the moving element 15 is stabilized resulting in an ultrasonic motor 10 exhibiting sufficient drive efficiency while suppressing generation of strange sound even when high speed rotation is carried out as the size is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
