<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen engine system reducing consumption of hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: This hydrogen engine system is provided with a water storing means; a hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas storing means for storing mixed gas of hydrogen and oxygen obtained by electrolysis of water; a mixed gas supply means for feeding predetermined amount of the mixed gas stored in the hydrogen-oxygen mixed gas storing means into a combustion chamber of the hydrogen engine at predetermined timing; a heating and steam generating/supplying means for heating water guided from the water storing means to generate steam and feeding predetermined amount of the steam into the combustion chamber of the hydrogen engine at the same timing as that when the mixed gas is fed; and the hydrogen engine having the combustion chamber, a piston and an ignition means. Explosive combustion of the mixed gas is performed by the ignition means, and the steam is heated and expanded by the generated heat to operate the piston. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
