PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital single lens reflex camera having drastically short flange back as compared with the conventional single lens reflex camera, and to provide a picture display system capable of insulating a picture displayed on a picture display panel from external light so as to observe it clearly, and magnifying it so that a user can observe it if necessary. SOLUTION: The digital single lens reflex camera is equipped with: the picture display panel at the upper part of a camera case; a panel cover 24 which can rise and be folded to be housed on the upside of the picture display panel; a mirror 3 arranged on the inside of the panel cover and reflecting light from the picture display panel to the side of a photographer and an observer when the panel cover rises; a switch 27 setting the picture display of the picture display panel to an off-state when the panel cover is housed; and a magnifier by which the picture displayed on the picture display panel can be magnified and observed if necessary.
