PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a prepreg capable of suppressing occurrence of wrinkles in the prepreg at the time of using a thin substrate, while preventing productivity from lowering. SOLUTION: The method for producing a prepreg comprises impregnating a continuously fed substrate 1 with a resin varnish, and heating and drying the varnish to half-cure the resin, where a plurality of substrates 1 each with 200-700 mm width are simultaneously fed, and the impregnation, heating and drying of the resin varnish are each simultaneously carried out for these substrates.
