PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and an apparatus enhancing a video conference functions thereby managing and controlling all associated conference devices from a centralized position using a simple and intuitive interface. SOLUTION: A simple speakerphone control interface or a remote controller thereof is used to control functions of a speakerphone itself, connected video conference facilities, a room control device and other connected devices. Furthermore, the room control device controls all associated room accessories such as doors, windows, blinders, illumination, blackboards or white boards, roll-up screens and the like.
