PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone capable of preventing deterioration in radiation efficiency by suppressing radiation from an antenna in a direction of a human body in the case of using the mobile phone of a two-case type for a speech and obtaining a radiation pattern close to omnidirectivity except for the time when the speech is made. SOLUTION: The mobile phone 1 is configured by connecting an upper case 11 and a lower case 12 by a hinge part 13. The lower case 12 is provided with an antenna element 15 fed from a feeding point 16. The upper case 11 is provided with a parasitic element 17 on a side opposite to the other side on which a receiver 14 is mounted, and terminal parts 17A, 17B are opened. The length of the parasitic element 17 is made to be equivalent to 1/2 wavelength of a frequency belonging to the operating frequency band of the mobile phone 1 and the interval between the tip 15A of the antenna element 15 and the terminal part 17A is made to be 1/8 wavelength or below with respect to the frequency belonging to the operating frequency band.
