PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating paste used for laminated electronic components such as a laminated ceramic capacitor, which is excellent in dispersion of inorganic powder such as ceramic powder and conductive powder of small particle diameter and has a desired high viscosity at coating, as well as polyvinyl acetal resin composition that easily provides the coating paste, and a method of manufacturing it. SOLUTION: A polyvinyl acetal resin composition is used for manufacturing a coating paste which is used for a laminated electronic component. It contains at least one kind of inorganic compound selected from among boric acid, boric acid glass, and borosilicate glass, as well as polyvinyl acetal resin and polyvinyl acetal resin composition containing organic solvent.
