PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens driver, an optical pickup device and an optical drive unit where scratching of an optical disk due to collision of an objective lens with the optical disk is suppressed even when a working distance is narrow. SOLUTION: In the vicinity of the objective lens 21, a cushion roller 22 consisting of soft material is installed rotatably while a distance between the vertex of the cushion roller 22 and the optical disk is shorter than the working distance.
