PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately prepare a route map when a carrier travels. SOLUTION: In this system which is configured to make a carrier store the map of a traveling route for traveling, a reference mark 18 is arranged at a point where the location of a carrier system on layout is already known, and the coordinates are marked on the route map. A transfer mark 20 is arranged at a location where transfer is carried out, and a distance from the reference mark 18 is calculated by the encoder of a carrier 14, and marked on the route map. When the carrier actually travels, the reference mark 18 is detected, and the internal coordinates of the carrier 14 are updated with the coordinates of the reference mark, and the carrier is made to stop at the location of the transfer mark 20.
