PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a setting data porting unit for a gas meter for porting the setting data of an already installed gas meter to a newly installed gas meter by a simple operation. SOLUTION: A setting data porting unit 1 for the gas meter is connected to an already installed gas meter 20, and when an operation button 7 is depressed, the batch reading operation of the setting data D(20) of the already set gas meter is carried out, and the setting data D are stored in an RAM 11. The setting data porting unit 1 for the gas meter is connected to the newly installed gas meter 30, and when the operation button 7 is depressed, the setting data D(20) in the RAM 11 are collectively written to the newly installed gas meter 30.
