PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leveling instrument for detecting the level and capable of performing notification of the same, and a projector provided with the leveling instrument, and to provide an attitude control method for levelly installing the projector. SOLUTION: The leveling instrument 1 is provided with a base part 10 and an outer shell 20. An inner shell 30 floating on a liquid 40 is sealed in the outer shell 20. The inner shell 30 includes a weight 35 fixed to the inner surface, wherein a line connecting the center and the center of gravity 32 is always directed to the gravitational direction. A pair of terminals 21 is disposed inside the outer shell 20, and is brought into contact with an electrical conduction part 34 provided on the outer surface of the inner shell 30 when the leveling instrument 1 becomes in a level state. In the level state, the electrical conduction part 34, the terminals 21, a wiring 41, a power supply 42, and an LED 43 form a closed circuit and the LED 43 is turned on. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
