PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-air pressure converter which eliminates the need for a pressure chamber projection space of a piston rod expansion part which needs the direct acting piston water-air pressure converter, and which is compact in the apparatus size by pressure conversion using a rotation reciprocating motion. SOLUTION: The air-water pressure converter for extracting air pressure from water pressure is provided with a vessel in which the shape of cross section in the radial direction in the vessel is round, a movable partition for partitioning the vessel inside into two pressure chambers in which water is supplied and drained and two pressure chambers in which air is supplied and exhausted making the axis in the vessel as a cardinal point, a fixed wall, a water pipe and a water supply means for supplying and draining water into the two pressure chambers respectively in which water is supplied and drained, a water switching means for switching the supply and drainage water and a controller for controlling the means for switching for water in the water pipe. Out of two pressure chambers in which water is supplied and drained using the movable partition, the water switching means is controlled to make one pressure chamber into a supply state, and the other pressure chamber into a drainage state.
