PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a double-sided adhesive tape or sheet reasonably and in high productivity, wherein a release liner with stable release property is used. SOLUTION: The method for producing the double-sided adhesive tape or sheet having such a construction that at least one of the adhesive layer surfaces is superimposed with the ionizing radiation-curable silicone-based releasant layer of a release liner bearing the the ionizing radiation-curable silicone-based releasant layer comprises the following procedure: At least one of the surfaces of a release liner base is coated with an ionizing radiation-curable silicone-based releasant followed by curing it to form the ionizing radiation-curable silicone-based releasant layer followed by coating the resultant releasant layer with an adhesive composition or laminating the resultant releasant layer with a previously formed adhesive layer to form an adhesive layer.
