PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for obtaining a rubber article by simple treatment, wherein the rubber article can be adhesively bonded to an adherend with high adhesive strength, and to provide a composite using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises a rubber and silica particles having a dibutyl amine (DBA) adsorption of 180-450 mmol/kg. The content of the silica particles relative to 100 pts.wt. of the rubber is 160 pts.wt. of less. The product of the content (pts.wt.) of the silica particles relative to 100 pts.wt. of the rubber and the DBA adsorption (mmol/kg) of the silica particles is 10,000-40,000. The rubber article (for example, a rubber molded article such as a rubber sheet) is produced by using the rubber composition.
