PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact container for a cosmetic capable of being used in the state of inclining a mirror body so as to easily view it without falling to the lid body side even when mounted on a table in the state of erecting the mirror body to a housing body. SOLUTION: One end side 5 of the housing body 1 provided with a housing part 4 of the cosmetic 2 is projected upwards to the upper surface of the housing body 1 and turned to a projected part 7, and a pivoting body 8 is turnably pivoted in parallel with one end side 5 at the projected part 7. Then, one end face 15 of a lid body 11 which covers the upper surface of the housing body 1 and whose inner surface is turned to the mirror body 12 is pivoted through a rotary shaft which is vertical to the pivoting body 8 and is rotatable.
